Oh. My. God. I am amazed and astounded. I just today got back from a week visiting my brother in Coffs Harbour and popped onto the computer to see what I'd missed, and here I've managed what? A DD! I am at a loss.
But a good one!My DD:
Of course it's thanks to ~ebbenjay and his wonderful camera that he allows me to use for my stock, but also to the darling =Foxfires who suggested the deviation as a DD. As thanks, I'll be featuring a handful od devs from these beautiful people.
In other news, I am currently between semesters at uni, which does not mean I'm entirely off the hook - I still have some tutoring going on, so a little cash in hand, plus the CSCI project is still sucking me dry. I have been maniacally using my sewing machine, so much so that it now clunks every time I use it, which is very upsetting. I think the timing's off or something.
The trip to Coffs was fun, I got to pet and kiss dolphins and seals and I saw a humpback whale breach from about 15 metres away. I got to dodge the tiny sand crabs that so industriously ball up sand from their holes that it's hard to tell them apart from their rubble. And I got to finish reading Perfume and Keeping Faith. The 15-odd hours in the car was a fair trade.

Hello everyone!
Well I'm just breathing a sigh of relief after a harried and shoulder-aching assessment period at uni. I am in the process of doing a couple of things, which got put on hold when I realised I was going to have to rush like a madwoman to get all my assignments done. There's the tie dress that I am slowly building over number op shop visits; there's the new sewing table and wardrobe that I plan to paint prettily; there's the diary cover tutorial I am eventually going to finish... lots of 'gonna's.
I'm also going to post a handful of poems on my main account
that I submitted for my poetry assignment this week. Lit submissions get a lot fewer views, but I like to think that someone somewhere will take a look and like them. I'm also excited because I can buy a bunch of poetry books with justification: I have to make a short anthology of poems and my own responses, and I do love to read poetry.Well, that's all I can think of right now. News
The new semester is fast approaching and here I am having finally gotten my hands on a new camera. Needless to say, preparation work for uni hasn't exactly been going on - speaking of such, if anyone wants to write my novella for me, do let me know
. What news is there in my life? On the 14th my family and I are going to see Rock Horror, which should be great... and as I already mentioned, ~ebbenjay finally bought his whizzbang new digital SLR camera. I've shot a whole bunch of new photos, ridiculously huge, and grouped into zips of no more than 5 photos; here are a few to get you going:
I've also started up tutoring again due to my surprising neat uni schedule which fits into just two days. It's not my favourite thing in the world to do, but it's more favoured by me than anything else I've ever been paid for. And extra few bucks in the skyrocket each week can't hurt, anyway - maybe I'll hold a contest on here, even. "Exit stage left..."
Otherwise, I can't think of what else to should report... You'll see in my contest pimpage section below that I've entered a couple of new contests, and plan to enter a couple more if I find the time and inspiration. But besides that, I think I've been run dry.

So, I figured it's about time for a new feature and trying out a new CSS. And a new update on my mundane life while I'm at it . So, we've put down the deposit on the fridge, and come Thursday, we will pay it of and have it delivered - how exciting! Ridiculous huge, double door, and it actually freezes things - miracle of miracles! And ~ebbenjay also bought a new vacuum that was pricey but it turns out that our carpet is actually a different colour to what we always thought, so it must have been a good investment!
What else... Our christmas tree is looking gorgeous with all the prezzies under it - it never really looked so nice in our house, because the majority of the prezzies were for my family and so ended up under the tree at my parents' place. So I'm really happy that Christmas has moved into our house this year.
